A new clock that's better?

We were at Mr DIY when YE saw a clock with a design she liked. 

YE: "Papa, can we buy a clock?"

Of course our house didn't require a new one, so I asked her back, "Where would you place it?"

YE: "Living room?"

Me: "The living room already has a clock ah."

Not giving up so easily, YE quipped, "But this is a faster clock."

Yx and Ye are polar opposites

Sometimes I wonder why my girls are similar yet so different- The elder one chirpy after representing her school at a 相声 competition, making monkey faces when taking pictures nowadays; conversely the younger one sulked and dragged her feet to ballet class, and forcibly pushed my hand away when she spotted me taking pictures.

I love you so much papa

On a work trip and did video calls with my girls every night. Cherishing that my 6-year-old is so sweet in her msgs to me 🥰

After playing B Boat with the girls:

Ye in the lift, smiled and chirped: "Today feels like a very good day! Today's B Boat is the best b boat ever!"

And she created the most tiniest storybook ever it's hardly legible it's worse if you have 老花😃

YE after some thought: "24".

Me: "How did you know?"

YE: "I remember the sign outside MacDonald's..."

Creating core memories

Glad we kicked out butts out of the house on Sunday 6pm to have some outdoors at Changi beach, our first time at the iconic finger statue.

It's a lovely place, slight breeze, sun setting, not many bicycles, families strolling and laying out picnic mats, grass not prickly - we took some photos and the girls enjoyed Double Decker titbit while wifey played with bubbles. Then I decided to engage them and played cloud imagination, taking turns to describe what each piece of cloud resembled. It was perhaps about 10 mins of pure family bonding, away from gadgets and distraction, chatting and laughing and immersing ourselves in 'the moment'. It was really nice to have the company of my girls and I hope they remember fond memories of time with their parents such as today's!
