Temasek Secondary School -
GOLD WITH HONOURS!!!
The whole hall erupted with high decibel screams of surprise, shock, overwhelming ecstasy and jubilance.
As much as it was unexpected for them, they had put in hell lots of efforts into preparation. Hours and hours of practice, a number of exchanges with other schools' CO, memorising the scores till they can play on reflex, mastering the dynamics and fluency and body movement... culminated in the actual performance, a brilliant one which moved me. Behind every little children's playfulness and seemingly immaturity, bravely stood a very determined and confident performer who shone and played like members of a tightly-knitted team, their final display was overflowing with emotions, efforts achieved only through passion and hard work.
Am very proud for them.
As all left the hall, the juniors were letting their emotions flow, well aware that, their efforts have paid off well. Very well.
Today's achievement marks a major peak in the long journey of the history of TMSCO. I have doubted it, many years ago, when it gave hints of falling apart with diminishing strength, unsupportive and impassionate members. But fortunately, with new seedlings and a new environment incorporated, I witnessed TMSCO grow from strength to strength, finally achieveing what it has today. However, IT DOES NOT END HERE. It will continue to achieve greater heights, and continue to make big steps in TMSCO's historical journey. It will materialise, but not dependent on alumni, not on luck, not by chance. The future is in the hands of the current students, instructors and teachers-in-charge.
It will be TMSCO Family, am proud to be part of this one big family. =)
