More about WYE

Realised this was in my draft since Apr 2023, hai I procrastinated!

Wye is a really unique character and possesses huge amount of resilience (some might say obstinacy) and pursues her desires with much gusto. She is fiercely independent in wanting to do/attempt things by herself even if it's her first time. We can see it in her that if guided and channeled correctly, Ye should grow up to an adaptable and highly motivated individual.

We love you so much baby.

And you are growing up too fast!

Gonna miss this cubicle

Workplace Transformation, after being shelved during COVID, is now ticking again. The plans are for staff to vacate the current office Dec 2023, work in a transition office in the interim (on a 50% wfh arrangement) and shift back in end 2024 into the rejuvenated office.

Am I looking forward to the new office?

Yes, for there will be newer and modern ID and facilities, more meeting rooms, more natural light incorporated into a biophlic design.

A bigger NO - for spacious cubicles like this that come with high partition walls, will be a thing of the past!

Girls made a birthday card for nainai

In the morning before nainai's birthday lunch celebration, the girls woke up before us and hand-drew a birthday card for their grandma.

Yx designed the card and both of them filled it with their creative drawings.

This card isn't for me but I love how self-initiated it was and how innocent the family faces were drawn. 😊

A $139 steak versus mine

Jx owns two properties. This is a $139 porterhouse steak that Jx had:

And mine the following day:
$12.50 from Saizeriya.

🤣

Taken out of context la. But Jx is so lucky he got a EC and time/opportunity allowed him to ride on the wave of rising property prices. Meanwhile for a HDB dweller like me, without incurring ABSD of 17%, and having no intention of moving out, will just have to suck thumb and look at low risk low gain investments elsewhere.

And so, the inevitable... She was very looking forward to it.
