Some memories are forever

Some leave you reminiscing.

I miss every nook and cranny, every backyard and exclusive behind-the-scenes of this place.

At different stages of your working life, you would have different priorities.

Family.

Precious weekends.

Friends.

After work activities.

TGIF beers.

Playing football.

Kids.

Money.

Comfort zone.

Girlfriend/Spouse.

Work-life balance.

I am ok to put in extra hours on Mondays - Thursdays but please leaveeee me aloneeeee on the other days.

My heart pauses whenever my phone rings and it's not funnny.

You are damn right.

The most shocking advice, but... damn true

Said a particular influential lady, "You are only as good as your last performance."

How stunning a fact - acute, sharp, piercing truth. Almost blood-curdling and cold. Stabbing. Capable of paralysing a guilty party within a millisecond.

___

I learnt more about myself recently. I eat to destress.

Heh, here's sharing a funny pic.

Cheerios, everyone.
Make every performance a good one.

A true brudder...

A true brudder is one who:

  • picks you up from Jurong East MRT station
  • drives to Hong Lim food market centre for your favourite HIGH STREET bak chor mee
  • joins you to hungrily wolf down his bak chor mee
  • asks for extra serving of the bak chor mee soup because it is just splendid
  • has the same appetite and taste and as you - you both order 白鸡尾饭 and finish it within minutes
  • after bak chor mee and chicken rice, both shares a big mug of sugar cane juice
  • knows your habit is to wash your hands and mouth after every meal
  • drives you to Bugis Temple for a quick pray
  • waits patiently and drives you back home
  • listens to you rant about work
  • helps you feel better about going back to work on a Saturday

Thanks a billion, Jx.

Random notes from Ye

On 2 separate occasions, I was working at my home desk when Ye sat beside, doodled on a post-it and passed it to me:
