"Team building"

Pathetic, ultra cheesy and low class show that tried too hard in vain to evoke laughter from slapstick ala Scary Movie:

Majority voted to watch a movie for annual division team bonding event. Still feeling quite unbelievably disjointed how it went.

Seoul we went!

Too old and too lazy to do a trip review. Will just post my favourite pic from the trip.

TL;DR:
- Myeong-dong is like Ximending.
- Food tastes the same after awhile, not all banchon are tasty.
- Public transport is awesome, every other street you see an entrance to the subway. Buses are aplenty and punctual.
- People are brusque and dont see the need to be polite, even the service staff. Daiso cashier shoved me aside. Don't even get me started on the "guide" from Klook!
- Korean Air is very comfortable!

On the flight back:

Captured this picture to remind me of a lovely moment that I felt ALIVE AND AT PEACE. Korean soft music was playing in my ears amidst the droning of the aeroplane engines, calm blue ambient cove lights, my wife seated beside me and we're on the way back to the embrace of our kids, after a few days of exploration, good food and recharge of my soul. My heart is full. 🥰

P/S: Special mention to my sister for being the bestest of bestest child sitter!!!

Creating core memories

Glad we kicked out butts out of the house on Sunday 6pm to have some outdoors at Changi beach, our first time at the iconic finger statue.

It's a lovely place, slight breeze, sun setting, not many bicycles, families strolling and laying out picnic mats, grass not prickly - we took some photos and the girls enjoyed Double Decker titbit while wifey played with bubbles. Then I decided to engage them and played cloud imagination, taking turns to describe what each piece of cloud resembled. It was perhaps about 10 mins of pure family bonding, away from gadgets and distraction, chatting and laughing and immersing ourselves in 'the moment'. It was really nice to have the company of my girls and I hope they remember fond memories of time with their parents such as today's!

Yx hits double digits

Happy 10th, dearest Yx has reached double digits! Yx has been forming deeper friendships and coping conscientiously with an increase in school commitment and her sister's incessant demands to play together 😂
Last pic - Yx's wish for her birthday was to have a swim party with her besties from school, A and E (there was another girl L in the initial plans but she chose not to attend as she preferred watching TV (???)). Yx planned it as early as a few months ago, discussing details with her friends and us on the logistics (if their parents are coming, mode of transport). She didn't enjoy swimming this year before she started Swim Safer, and now she does (although she isn't still quite good at it), and I'm really glad of that!

Yx, here's wishing you happiness always and confidence and courage as you learn along (aka be more assertive!).
