'Newfangled' Monopoly local version 'Then & Now', now with credit card and brainless playing because the gadget does all the sums for you!
Spontaneous evening made possible after incessant bugging by Jx and me to go over Busy Roy's place. Excellent host served us his RMJ brew version 'Corona' and we helped ourselves to a big pack of Jack 'n' Jill potato chips. Later, he brought out his stash of board games and at 28++ years of age, I couldn't quite believe 4 grown working adults were huddling around the living room table playing Monopoly! Well, I must say it was a noble idea to play it cashless, how apt of the game developer to go with the times, came up with a gadget to do all the calculations for you and hence catering to the future generation who are lazier and more reliant on computers.
There were even mini-games at 'Free Parking' and to get out of jail, we laughed ourselves silly at our hilarious antics and friendly cursing of one another's luck. It was a Sunday night well spent and I kinda thought all of us had a lil' skip in our steps as we walked back home.
