Trip to Marina Barrage

Yesterday, Jx+Hefang, Busy Roys and I somehow managed to meet up for dinner! Been a very, very long time since we last met... think it was the cook-out session at Busy Roy's place! After dinner we bought chocolate ice-blended and strolled back to Jx's house in the breezy cooling night... very very very long time since I dropped by his place. Nostalgia kicked in - reminded me of my slack final year when I would frequent his place. HAHA.

I love my bicycle.

It was a lazy, boring Sunday afternoon until suddenly, a spontaneous decision saw my dad, sis and I zoom down to Marina Barrage!

The weather was awesome! Bright sunshine, blue skies and white clouds, and strong inland breeze made the leisurely stroll all the more relaxing and enjoyable. Take a moment to breathe in the air, feel the air beating on my face, makes me feel so great to be alive and kicking. On top of the huge grass patch gathered many groups of friends and families happily playing games, chatting, flying kites, eating sandwiches... that's what I call a SUNDAY!

Seating on cloud nine!!!

After that we brought our dad to City Plaza @ Paya Lebar for ARNOLD'S!!! By far the most awesome fried chicken!!! Yes, I still love KFC and Popeye's, but I tell you, you haven't tried Arnold's. Satisfaction guaranteed, everytime!!!

My dad loved it.

An afternoon super-duperly well spent! Rested well enough this weekend :)

2012

FINALLY CLEARED MY IPPT WINDOW!!!

It is my last CAT X window (i.e. <25 years of age), am very happy that all my trainings paid off! Attained a SILVER! Hip hip hurray! Initially was very afraid of pull-ups and running, cos last week I made a shocking discovery that I had unknowingly gained 3kg over the last 2 months!!! Well, lack of mobility at work really helps -_- especially after heavy lunches! Fortunately yesterday during the IPPT, I managed to overcome the extra burden and haul myself up the pull-up bar, and across the finishing line, all for the $200 cash reward. YAY! Early birthday gift from the Garmen, heh heh. Now to wait for another 12 months...

Went to catch 2012 with Blur bee!

(WARNING: Spoilers ahead)

I found the movie captivating, graphics were fantastic too. It helps that I've been to California, Las Vegas, Washington DC and NYC before, I could recognise those places! Though abit far-fetched in the sense that the lead and his family always manages to escape in the nick of time, everything else was great... the catastrophe's not something that's not gonna happen, and therefore very interesting to see how our civilisation would be swallowed up. And you could study that there were some take-home life lessons, for e.g. selflessness, family love, humanity, money moves the world (in the case of this movie, not so literally)... and I seriously believe the person behind the storyline had a point to prove when he decided that Africa was the new place to set foot on! Coupled with that the President was also a African American... heh. Apart from that, I have something to admit- all along during the show, I had assumed that the ship they were building was a spaceship. LOL!!! But it was a technogically more advanced Noah's Ark. Hmm. I'm sure the survivors didn't survive for very long in Africa. They didn't bring enough pigs and cows for food!

But this kind of movie never fails to stir up thoughts inside me. One of them is that we must really cherish life!!!! Cos it is really fragile, and the future uncertain... make the most of it you can! start by eating more tomorrow! haha!

The other is that, if today you know you only have till 2012 to live until, what would you accomplish to complete your life? Personally I would want to travel the world... simply lay on the green grass and stare at the blue skies, eat good food... spend time with my loved ones... But what if you only have 1 month? or a week...?

ACTIVE Day, down!

Tired legs.
Damp socks and shoes.
Hoarse voice.
Sleepy head.

But all in for the exchange of a thousand smiling faces, huge roars of cheers, loadful of camaraderie and experience gained, I say it's worth it.

Though it downpoured and dampened our spirits, fortunately it cleared and games resumed in a while. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the event carried on smoothly and successfully.

ACTIVE DAY 2009, HOORAY!

top 10 behavioural dislikes

One of my Top 10 hates of human behaviour:

Scenario: Peak hour at MRT station. Loads of commuters queueing to exit through the fare gates.

The lady in front of you wants to tap out her ez-link, but her card is buried somewhere deep and dark inside her branded/pasar malam bag. So the lady places her bag on the scanner, in full vainless hope that the gates would just open. But no, they don't. So the lady scans her bag in another angle. Gates don't budge. She tries another position of the bag, maybe using another angle. Gates still refuse to move an inch. Finally, the lady gives up, reaches into her bag and rummages for her purse.

By that time, ten people in the queue beside have already passed and stepped out of station.

$!#@&^# Sorry, not that advanced to scan inside your bag yet.

ris LOW gets lower

As if "BOOMZ", "zebra preens" and the credit card fraud saga aren't bad enough, Miss Singapore Ris Low still managed to tarnish her already-all-time-low reputation by openly using cruder words on a tv show interview.

Click to watch (if nothing else can't spoil ur mood) http://www.clicknetwork.tv/watch.aspx?c=5&p=16&v=250

It's damn horribly revolting.

Plus she looks so ghastily SHINGZ - no face, no figure, no inner, no outer. For future contests (if there still would be), make the judges sit nearer. Please.

👓

And so, the inevitable... She was very looking forward to it.
