18 days to USA!

That's very fast....

Since I'd be there for 3 months, I'll confirm chop stamp + guarantee that I'll be missing asian food super duper lots..... for eg char kway teow, hokkien mee, nasi lemak, chicken rice, mom's cooking.... T_T

So I vowed that I will not touch Western food for 2 weeks before departure. I will gourge myself with delicious, saliva-dripping, tantalising, relishing mouth watering asian food! Oily, unhealthy, dirty, unhygenic I don't care! Just give them to meeeeeee!!!!!

P/S: Will I miss mahjong too? lololololol.

Citadels

Yesterday was Friday! Jx, Roy and me took time off our revision schedule to gather at Roy's place after dinner.

Ivan finally arrived at his place at after midnight, but he brought this game he bought at Settler's.




















It's a very fun and addictive and interactive game I must say! You all got play before?! With some element of luck in deciding the winner, you have to use some brain power and guessing to play as well! Hehe. We played 3 rounds and finally went home at 4.48am. -_-

Hmmm, like Bee, I never believed that Friday 13th is unlucky. Simply because nothing unlucky (choy!!!!) has happened to me ba.... but it really did for my sis yesterday.

Brown rice 2

Had Brown rice dinner number 2 today.

Hmmm... wasn't as bad as yesterday cos mom mixed them with more plain white rice and added more water to simmer. However I still only ate 1 bowl of rice. =/ don't like the colour of the brown rice leh.... I can't imagine when mom cooks curry. What's brown + orange = ?? LOL.

Mom cooked dinner today, as usual....

I never fail to top up my rice during every meal...but NOT TONIGHT!

Cos mommy cooked BROWN RICE.

I'm so not used to it! Somemore it's hard and the colour doesn't interest me. I bit onto the rice bitterly and had so much difficulty finishing them because mom don't allow me to put the rice back into the cooker. So I only had one bowl of rice. Very don't like it leh. T_T There'll be brown rice every night le. Haiz!! Poor me!!

Weird facts:

1. I can speak in 4 different accents!!! Of course I speak the normal Singlish way in Singapore. But with M'sians, I speak with a m'sian accent. To the Chinese from Mainland China, I speak in a different accent too. LOL. And lastly, I'll speak in another way when I'm in USA. But of cos, I am only good with the first two. Hahahaha. And not many of my friends know I'm Malaysian. Now all of you know! Secret no more... :(

2. I don't really like crispy stuff! Be it curry puffs, fried stuffs, KFC, prawn crackers... I love the chicken from KFC, but I peel off the skin and 'donate' them to Jx or (fat) Bee. HAHA. "Then why don't ask for original recipe??", you might ask. That's because I prefer the taste of crispy recipe. As for curry puffs, normally I eat the fillings and leave the U-shaped dough alone. Thus I don't really look for crackers or Old Chang Kee when I'm hungry...

3. I think I have a pretty good sixth sense. It's like, my spider sense's tingling! (quoted from Spiderman) There was once during JC 2, I was at East Coast park with my friends... Then one of them lost her valuable ring and all of us went to look for it. Honestly, I wasn't really helping to find cos I was walking around (haha) when suddenly I felt a tingling sensation in my head! So I proceeded to dig the sand beneath my feet... And BEHOLD, the ring was there.

4. I have a knack of remembering things! Especially real life incidents, what I heard my friends say, or what happened during special occasions.

5. Still got 5 more to go arh. Hmmm. What's weird about me... Hmm... I think of food very often! During sec sch, my recess time was at 11.15am, (see, I can remember this! And end of school was at 1.20pm!) and I'll be dreaming about what to eat for recess from the very moment I step into class! Then now in NUS, I'll be dreaming about what to eat for lunch during lectures. And if I can't decide, one irritating thing is that I'll pester my friends what they'll be eating. HAHAHA.

(LOL, Bee told me my blog tempted her friends to go eat Ajisen and HK cafe. HAHA! Didn't know my entries can be so influential wor!!)

6. I had no interest in the cartoon Flintstones though many say it's funny... Weird weird, I was once really addicted in the Teletubbies! O_O Freaking gay, you'd say! Yes, the Teletubbies! Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Lala, Po! My favourite was Po. Here's something I think you all don't know... Tinky Winky is gay, Dipsy is a negro and Po is cantonese! HAHAHAHA. Ya lor, every weekday evening at 6pm I'd make sure I watch... again again! Thinking back, so stupid of me.

7. I was locked up in the toilet by a very sadistic Kindergarten teacher. She tested us on volume! Litres and millimetres! So difficult! I couldn't answer and she brought me to the toilet at the back! Crazy freaking b**ch! But I wasn't freaked out. I merely stood there till she let me out. Lol.

8. I am a very sentimental person! I like to keep letters, stuffs, gifts, pieces of paper etc that came from any person/occasion. I even have in my cupboard a lightstick from my JC 1 orientation... gasp.

9. I strangely believe that all non living things will come alive at night! For example, the 2 bears on my bed will talk to each other, run around the room and protect me. The smaller bear is more active and naughty... that explains why I always find it below my bed. -_-

10. Finally last point liao! *pant pant* Hmm.... Nothing interesting about this though... I almost went to AHS. HAHA. If I did, I might be a senior to many of my blog readers out there! LOL.

WAKAKAKA!! I have a Good Thursday as well!!!! I met up with my JC 1 OG members for dinner!!! LOL! JC 1 OG?!?! Ya lor hahaha. Actually it's like 7 of us... but 2 are overseas, 1 is always busy, 1 suddenly came up sick, so only 3 of us could make it...

Dinner: Hong Kong Cafe at Marina Square!















Wanton Mee Soup. $6.90.
Critic: Soup and noodles are not bad. Meat is little bit tough. Quite generous with the serving. However, not a very special dish - 7/10.















Siew Mai $2.50
Not a must-try. So so only, can get the same quality at kopitiams - 6/10.















Har Kou (shrimp dumplling) $2.50.
Skin is chewy and doesn't stick to your teeth. Not bad, can try - 7.5/10.















Guo Tie $6.90
Skin is fried to perfection. Fillings is tasty. The ginger that comes with the vinegar is fresh and crispy. MUST TRY - 9/10.















HAHAHA! Looks like toufu hor?
French toast! $3.50
Very nice, first time I tried such special bread. The butter melts quickly on the hot surface. Although more sugar could have been added to the dough, it's worth the price - 8/10.















Sesame dumplings in beancurd soup. $3.50.
Beancurd is too bland. Dumplings are not any special. Go for the one at Bedok 85. 5/10.

Location: 9/10.
Ambience: 9/10.
Service: 9/10.
Price: 8.5/10.
Food: 8/10.
Overall: Try it the next time! It serves a wide range of food, even serving pasta, sandwiches and rice meals.

Shock factor: 10/10.
ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING!!!! O_O

Shock incident 1:

Waiter: "Any drinks for you?"
Us: "Ermm, 1 warm water and 2 iced water, thank you!"

Little did we know, warm water is $0.20, and iced water $0.40!!! Although we found the prices of warm and iced water stated at the back of the menu (note: they were written on a small piece of paper and scotch-tape was used to stick), it's totally unjustifiable! The water comes straight from the tap, HELLO? Not like you went to boil it before serving?? Not like your iced water has a piece of lemon, HELLO? Not like you refill the water even!!

Shock incident 2:

In the menu, the picture shows 4 pieces of Har Kou and Siew Mai in a serving... AND THEY DARE TO SERVE ONLY 3!!! MISERABLE 3, as shown in the pics above! WHA PIANG EH!! Furious lah!!

Why do I feel as if the semester has just started?! I don't feel guilty, yet I do! I don't feel afraid and paranoid, yet I do!

Am I feeling the right way?!

Not that I'm boasting or what... I have completed all my tutorials and labs! It's about 24-4 = 20 days to my exams! That's like 5 days to study for each module. But... I feel it's like abit too early to start revision leh... not because I'm smart, but because if I revise early, I'll forget everything when the time comes!

So bored now. I really didn't do anything productive for today. ZZZ!!!

One fine day playing Mahjong at Busy Roy's house, I was losing all the way and so sian diao. Until one Angel passed by and decided to help me! I won with this!! Damn difficult to get one!
