Farewell 2008, Welcome 2009
I felt that this year passed by exceptionally quick. It only felt like a few months ago that Jx and I cycled to Downtown East for the new year countdown!
Feel like reflecting over what I have done or achieved over 2008 before the next year arrives.
Well... Nothing much. -_-
Ok, I'll try again.
1) ME3102 module taught me how to source for materials, and see for myself the steel industry at Pioneer Road.
2) I attended many interviews of all sorts - including one to one, many to one, with Chairman of Keppel o&M, and even over an informal lunch! Learnt SOOOOOO much from all of them eg, how to conduct myself, body language, articulation skills etc.
3) Gave tuition on a weekly basis, learnt how to better plan and manage time. And felt that I was contributing to something, at the same time earn some cash to spend!
4) Helped out at a Tmsco concert, made many friends!
5) Internship at Keppel FELS, learnt and saw and experienced many valuable lessons outside of books. Made alot of friends and contacts along the way.
6) Increased stability of my honours class.
7) Maintained good relationship with family, bee, cousins, and friends from many circles :)
Will be heading to Downtown East for countdown again later tonight with Jx! Anyone who will be in the vicinity and wanna join us, gimme a call!!!
See you guys next year!!!!
Wishing all of us good health, good wealth, and rich happiness!!

Yay for Sem7!
HAPPY!!!
I am also blessed, blest, blissful, blithe, can’t complain, captivated, cheerful, chipper, chirpy, content, contented, convivial, delighted, ecstatic, elated, exultant, flying high, gay, glad, gleeful, gratified, intoxicated, jolly, joyful, joyous, jubilant, laughing, light, lively, looking good, merry, mirthful, on cloud nine*, overjoyed, peaceful, peppy, perky, playful, pleasant, pleased, sparkling, sunny, thrilled, tickled, tickled pink*, up, upbeat, walking on air!!!
I was also relieved that my marketing wasn't disappointing! Phew phew. Though my ambition of SAP 5.0 cannot be fulfilled, neither do I qualify for Dean's List (sigh), but hee, to sum up, I am very satisfied :)
HURRAY!!!

Twuai Lite and Prata Plight
But somehow today I lost the battle to Blur Bee. HAI!
Anyways, ya lor I watched twuai lite just now at TM.
Seriously, look at the poster.
Black background, 2 persons. Simplistic. Unimaginative. How nice can the movie be?!
But in the end ok it was not bad, maybe becos my expectations were VERY low to begin with. Lucky there were fighting scenes to increase the atmosphere abit. It's a very light movie, easily understood, couple of pretty faces...
Oh have I said it's a love story between vampire and a human? I was expecting some fangs and wings and stuff but what they showed was only..... disappointingly/queersome shimmery skin.
WTH????????
After twaui laight, I think I still very much prefer VAN HELSING! One of my best movies.
After midnight Blur Bee's brother brought us to Mr. Prata shop at Tampines 400+ there! Kudos to him for introducing this place, gosh I have never heard of it before! It's 24 hour prata shop guys!!! Especially good to Tampinesians where 24hr prata is hard to find.
I had plaster prata and onion prata. The onion pieces were generous and not overcooked and crunchy and goes superb with the curry. The egg on the plaster was not too well done, very nicely done and smooth.
In my opinion the place serves quite cheap food (plain for 80cents). Very huge variety of food too, from goreng to thosai to rojak to nasi. However the quality of food not very good la, too salty the dough. Curry very normal. But since it's near and cheap, it's a recommendable place to satisfy ur craving.
While at KL, I learnt so much about their prata places. Their supper hang outs are called 'mamak', and they have different names to their prata! Firstly they don't have plaster. But check out the below:
It's named Paper Prata, it's super long it needs to be balanced on three plates! I didn't have the chance to try it but every table seemed to be ordering it.
They also have Condominium Prata. HAHAHA! so interesting how a piece of dough can turn out to be!

I tell you, I freaked out
They are in order of time taken.
11.17am
11.18am
11.18am
Err. Ok. Take a look at the middle pic. Spot something amiss? Click on it to enlarge.
If u can spot it, good. Tell me why.
When I saw it, I tried to give a logical explanation. Like camera lens dirty, or sth hanging on the wall etc. But it's not sth on the wall, becos the picture before that showed the wall was plain. Then I freaked out a lil.
There were no children or small people in our group of relatives who were present. And I'm very sure nobody walked behind us. *shivers.

my 24th celebrationSSSS =)
They made my 24th birthday a very special and memorable one. My 24th was by far celebrated the most number of times. Very happy :)
10th Dec, with my relatives and cousins at my gu gu's house! I completely wasn't aware of the surprise, very happy!
Then on 14th Dec, me and my USA clique went for a very very shiok karaoke session at TopOne Ktv at Bugis! Very splendid place with nice atmosphere and good songs and free flow drinks only $20 nett for as much as 7 hours!!! After that we went to my favourite steamboat place, Zhen Fa Live Seafood at Novena. I love that place for its affordability and fantastic variety and quality of food!
15th Dec is my actual 24th bdae! Unfortunately I had to go school to do my FYP! (*Bashes tables and chairs) But I was highly surprised when Jx came into my lab, bluffed me to go out, then from a turn, my ME clique popped out with a beautiful cake and bdae songs. :)
Later on the same day, my 2 bestest buddies came over for a dinner together with my family. My mom specially prepared my fav chicken wings and steamed big prawns and baked a cheese cake too!! I enjoyed the night :)
I HEART all my family and relatives and friends for the efforts, surprises and fun and joy and memories. :) Thanks a million, sincere thanks! :)

Of FIVE GUYS!
Random.
The WAT gang and I will definitely have tried FIVE GUYS in the States. It's so good, I tell you. If you think Carls Jr is good, Five Guys is FANTABULOUS.
They're famous for their burgers and fries. In fact, they are the only things which appear on their menu.
http://www.fiveguys.com/home.aspx
Very hungry now.
And as what is stated on their menu, they have 15 FREE toppings for u to choose from. I always asked for more onions and mushrooms. WAHHHHHH HUNGRY!!!!!!!!
This was my first Five Guys burger. Seee how thickly packed and juicy and crunchy and satiable the burger looks?!
Then the FRIES!!! OMG.
Wha... HUNGRY... You can have a choice of Five Guys style or Cajun, both are absolutely... ( fill in your own adjectives of 'fantabulous' )
SLURPS SLURP. I'm going to write in to Five Guys now.

Auntie VS Xiang Ji
Got the video and story from Irritating Ivan.
Rated R18 - Sexual content and Violence.
-
In the aftermath of watching the video, what are your thots and opinions?
For me I thot the one taking the video lacked social etiquette. He/she had the guts to record everything down in full view of the victims, but had no proactiveness to break up the fight? Is this behaviour what other ppl call 'bystanders' who want to witness and kaypo, but do not want to be involved?
Tsk tsk.

WAT seen on Google Earth
I thot it could only give me aerial view of places! But there was more to it! It allowed me to view photo shots of ON THE GROUND SHOTS, 3D, and ROTATABLE!!!
It made me miss USA more, but at the same time, while playing ard with the ground shots, I felt as though I was standing on the streets :)
Here's how cool it is:
EXAMPLE 1:
Pic of us at Byrd Theatre, Richmond, Virginia.
Screen shot from Google Earth.

EXAMPLE 2:
Pic of us waiting for bus at West Broad Street, Richmond.
Same place, screenshot.
ULTRA COOL. =)
Last but not least, a pic of the huge carpark opposite our accomodation for the first 2 weeks... lots of memories occured here... I know everyone who went for WAT with me will know.

Up the hill, down the slope!
Am taking 3 modules + FYP this semester.
By the university regulations, I do not have sufficient MCs to qualify for a Dean's List this semester.
But I could nevertheless aim for a SAP 5.0!
WHEE HEE!!! Let's work hard!

My New Love
Other than my first wife Blur Bee, I have a second and third wife!
Long story la... aAlthough my third wife spends more time with me, I can do alot more stuffs with my second wife. In fact, my second wife often accompanies me into late nights. She takes care of my stuffs safe and sound... I know I can always depend on her.
However, that's not saying I love my third wife less. She's very pretty , and very sociable too. And she never fails to keep me informed. I depend on her for everything else when I'm out...

endless mountains
The first half was great. Straight, smooth road, with flowers and blue sky.
The second half, I have many hills to overcome.
I'm halfway through with the hills.
After the hills, lay a tall rocky mountain.
It's up to me to overcome it. But the climb won't be easy and predictable.
I'm referring to my FYP.

$10000 for a year - but ain't so simple
1) $10000 in exchange for a year
2) $20000, for 2 years
3) $0, but I have a whole lot more choices.
Sounds easy to choose, doesn't it?
But it ain't so simple. There's alot, alot more to the equation.
Sigh.

early xmas gift from my tuition kid
Tomorrow is our 50% group project presentation and report submission. Wish us luck! :)
______________________________________________________
Couple of weeks ago my tuition kid came over my place for tuition.
As he sat down, he said, "I have an early Christmas present for you!"
So sweet and nice of him hor!
So I asked, "What is it?"
From his right pocket, he toook out this.
It's an egg, wrapped in masking tape.
Shouldn't it be an Easter present instead?! Haha. So it was a hard boiled egg. Anyway later he explained that it was left-over breakfast that he couldn't finish. -_-"
BUT WHY masking tape right?!
He said he found masking tape in the car on the way to my place, so he just wrapped the egg with it.
He's always so full of crap. LOL.

VS - Case Closed
Finally, after weeks of hard work. Victoria's Secret Case closed! Pity it's only 10%.
Anyway, after the presentation, my group mates all suggested taking a group photo outside the tutorial room.
So 5 of them sat down on the bench ready to pose, while I took Lip's camera and was looking for passer-bys to help us take!
On my right, walked a girl. I approached her.
"Hi, can you help me take a photo?"
Girl, quickening her pace and waving me away shyly, "No thanks."
......... -_-"
HUH?! Whoever says 'no thanks' to decline taking a photo?! I gave a bewildered look to my group members and they were also giggling at her reply.
ANYWAY!
Then I approached a guy about to walk past.
"Hi, can you help me take a picture?"
Guy, didn't even take a look at me, "No, rushing for lesson."
.......... -_-"
I tell you, this is like the FIRST TIME EVER IN MY LIFE, that I got turned down not once, but TWICE! JUST REQUESTING FOR HELP TO TAKE A PHOTO!
....... -_-"
Last straw. I approached the next girl about to walk past.
"HI, ARE YOU RUSHING FOR TIME?"
Girl, quickening her pace, "Ya."
....... -_-"
Unbelievable. I swear I don't resemble Shrek or Hunchback of Notre Dame. My group members were baffled as well. One of the girls Zhiying stood up, took the camera from me, and she approached the next guy passerby.
The guy agreed.
......... -_-"
So picture taken.
We analysed why I got turned down not once, not twice, but THRICE.
Reasoning: With what I was wearing, we guessed they must have thought I was selling insurance or sth.
..... -_-" What an experience.

McFire!
Didn't see any flames from my distance, but the black smokes, as you can see, bellowed so high, so thick and so fierce.
Uncle MacDonalds on fire?
Or so, the uncles bystanders had thought. The news reported the incident occured in a shophouse beside, not Mac. But I think Mac suffered damages as well. Poor McFire.
